There is currently no estimate of the amount of rubbish that ends up in Lough Neagh each year but we do know that it is skip-full’s rather than bag-full’s by the amount of rubbish that is collected each year by volunteer litter-picking groups around the lough shore and along the rivers.

Letting us know how much litter and what types of litter you have collected will help us all to understand the scale of the litter problem in Lough Neagh, where the sources of litter are and where the litter ends up.  It also helps to show our impact as a community in the fight against littering.

There are two ways to report your litter-count:

  1. Complete a report card here
  2. Report it to Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful here
